Mid-day changes: add, move, and re-send
The day changes after you've dispatched. Add a stop, move work between drivers, re-optimize, and re-send — without anyone dictating addresses over the phone.
You dispatched at 8am. By 11 the day looks different — a rush order came in, a driver's van died, a customer moved their window. A sent plan in Routerra isn't frozen: you edit it, re-optimize, and re-send, and every driver's app refreshes on its own.
The status that tracks staleness
The moment you change anything in a plan that's already been sent, its status flips to Has Changes. That's your reminder that the drivers' copy is now out of date — what they see doesn't yet match what you've edited. The fix is always the same: re-optimize if the change affects routing, then send again.

Search the address or drop it on the map, same as any stop. The plan shows Has Changes.
Re-run Assign drivers & optimize
The optimizer folds the new stop into the best route. Stops drivers have already delivered or failed keep their statuses — re-optimizing doesn't wipe the morning's work.
Send routes to drivers again
Each affected driver's route refreshes in the app. Nobody has to be called and read an address.
Moving work between drivers
A driver drops out mid-shift — sick, breakdown, ran long. Move their remaining stops to another driver:
- Reassign their outstanding stops to the drivers still on the road (delivered/failed stops stay put, with their statuses).
- Re-run Assign drivers & optimize with the drivers who are actually available.
- Send again — the covering drivers get the extra stops slotted into their routes.

When to Revoke instead
If the plan needs a real rebuild and you don't want anyone driving the stale version in the meantime, use Revoke from Drivers — it pulls the routes out of the driver app entirely. Rebuild, then send fresh. Reach for Revoke when the change is big enough that "keep driving the old one for a minute" would cause harm; for ordinary edits, a straight re-send is smoother.
