Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about the driver app, offline work, seats, the trial, live visibility, and fleet size.

The questions we hear most, with links to the full guides. Can't find yours? Write to us — a human reads every message.

Drivers & the driver app

Do my drivers need the paid app?

No. The driver app is free for your drivers to download and use. You pay per driver seat in your Routerra Teams subscription, and your drivers just sign in and drive. See the driver quickstart.

What happens when a driver loses signal?

Everything keeps working. The driver app is offline-first: statuses, notes, and proof-of-delivery photos are saved right on the phone and sync automatically the moment signal comes back. Your drivers never have to stop and wait for a connection.

Which languages does the driver app support?

English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Ukrainian — with a dark mode for night shifts.

Visibility

Can I see my drivers on a live map?

Routerra gives you live status visibility, not live GPS tracking. As your drivers work, you see each delivery update as it happens — delivered, or not-delivered with a reason — plus proof-of-delivery photos and a full audit log of who did what and when. Details in Follow delivery progress live.

Billing & fleet size

How does the free trial work?

You get a 7-day free trial. You'll add a payment card when you sign up, and you can cancel anytime before the trial ends — you won't be charged if you cancel in time. Setup takes minutes: name your team, add your depots, add your drivers, and start.

What counts as a seat?

You're billed per driver seat — one seat for each driver who receives routes in the driver app. You can add or remove seats anytime as your fleet changes. Full mechanics in Trial, seats, and billing.

Is there a minimum fleet size?

No. Routerra Teams works for one van or twenty. There's no minimum — you can start from your very first vehicle and add driver seats as you grow.

What if I have more than 20 vehicles?

The self-serve plan covers fleets up to 20 vehicles. Running more than that? Contact us and we'll set you up.

Products & integrations

Can I still use Routerra Pro for my own driving?

Yes. Routerra Teams is a separate product for dispatching a fleet — it doesn't replace your personal Routerra account. Many owner-operators start on Routerra Pro and move up to Teams when they add their first driver.

Can I bring in orders from my own system?

Yes. Beyond pasting stops or importing a file, you can call the public Optimize API with your own API keys, connect a data source to feed stops in, and receive signed webhooks when plans and stops change. It's a real developer platform, included at no extra cost.
