Shared routes are now protected from changes

Sharing a route used to come with a catch: the person you shared it with could change it. Many of you told us that's backwards — a shared route is your plan, whether it's tomorrow's delivery run or your favorite loop around the city.

What changed

Routes you share are now view-only for recipients. They see every stop, the order, the notes — but nothing they do can touch your original.

Want to actually drive a route someone shared with you? Tap Copy to my routes. You get your own editable copy in your account and can start driving immediately; the sender's original stays exactly as they made it.

Why we did it

This change came directly from user requests: people sharing routes as recommendations, templates and handoffs needed them to stay intact. The duplicate-and-drive flow keeps both sides happy — the sender's plan is protected, and the receiver still gets a route they fully own.

Planning routes for several drivers and dispatching them daily? That's what Routerra Teams is built for — automatic stop distribution across vehicles, driver shifts, capacities and live progress tracking.
