DATA DELETION POLICY

This policy explains how you can delete your Routerra account or request deletion of your personal data, and what to expect once you do. The instructions below cover both our web application and our mobile applications.

WHY THIS MATTERS

You have the right to request deletion of your personal information under applicable laws. We provide simple paths to exercise this right and explain timelines and exceptions below.

HOW TO REQUEST DELETION

Choose one of the following, depending on how you use Routerra:

A) If you use the Web App

You can delete your account directly in the web interface:

1) Click your user icon and choose “Manage account”.

2) Under the Security tab, click the red “Delete account” button.

3) Confirm your choice in the dialog. After confirmation, your data will enter the deletion workflow.

B) If you use the Mobile App

Currently, the mobile app does not include an in-app “Delete account” button. Please send a deletion request by email and we will process it for you.

Please include:

  • Your account email (the one you used to register).
  • Whether you want to delete the entire account or only specific data (describe which).
  • Your platform (iOS / Android) and country/region (for legal handling if needed).

We may ask you to verify your identity (for example, by sending the request from the registered email or confirming a one-time code) before we proceed.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

  • Your account is deactivated immediately after confirmation, and you are logged out.
  • We remove personal data from active systems within 30 days. Some information may persist in backups for up to 60 days before final purge.
  • Deletion requests propagate to our processors where applicable (e.g., Clerk for authentication, RevenueCat for subscription identifiers, analytics/crash providers).
  • If you requested deletion of specific data (not the entire account), we will delete only the specified items and keep your account active.

RETENTION EXCEPTIONS

Certain information may be retained beyond the standard window where required by law (e.g., fraud prevention, tax and accounting, regulatory obligations). In such cases, we isolate and protect that data until it can be safely deleted.

SUBSCRIPTIONS & BILLING RECORDS

If you purchased via Apple App Store or Google Play, some billing identifiers and receipts are controlled by those platforms (and by RevenueCat on our side). We delete or unlink what we control, but platform receipts may remain with Apple/Google per their policies.

SCOPE OF DELETION

  • Account deletion removes your profile, authentication identifiers, and user-generated content (e.g., routes, attachments you uploaded).
  • Analytics & diagnostics (e.g., event logs, crash reports) are deleted or anonymized per provider defaults within the timelines above.
  • Session replay/heatmap data (if any for web) is deleted per the analytics provider’s retention schedule after your deletion request.
